A Special Visit

Santa's VisitI got a call from hubby telling me to open the front door (it’s usually locked as we use the back door). He said, he’s dropping by through the front door and will be bringing Santa Claus with him. I thought, how cool it is that – Santa Claus coming over to visit before Christmas eve!

I turned on the Christmas tree. And then, I made sure my babies are picture ready for this special visit. I didn’t tell Matthew what was going on and why I wanted him to wear his Santa Claus Hat, but he and Baby Mark wore it anyway, without complaints.

Then finally, Hubby came in and announced his arrival. I called Matthew and he was awe-stricken when Santa Claus came in the door. He got over it right away though. He started talking to Santa. Finally Matthew has someone else to listen to his litany of what he wants for Christmas – all the toys he wants. Santa was just nodding his head.

Baby Mark, on the other hand, was a little indifferent!

When it was his turn for Santa’s attention, he stared at him a little bit, got anxious and started crying!

Before Santa left, he gave away a few candy canes. And he talked to Matthew and told him to be a good boy and be good to his baby brother. What a great Santa, I thought!

Santa's Visit

We were at the front door to wave ‘goodbye’ and ‘thank you’ for this special visit, as Santa Claus and Daddy drove off in the golf cart. (Wouldn’t it have been even magical if it was a sleigh?!.)

Matthew was all smiles a couple of hours after that. I too got so excited that I forgot to take pictures with Santa by our lighted Christmas tree. Sigh!

In the evening, when hubby came home from work, we all thanked him for the special gift of bringing Santa Claus home even if it was just for a few minutes.
